Join It has integrated with Emma to help keep your mailing lists in sync with your membership database.
What does it do?
With this automation, new members will automatically be added to a selected list in Emma. Organizations have the option to:

Setup multiple automations, so members from specific membership types can go to separate lists.
Shows a widget on Membership Records of the member's data that's fetched from your connected emma account

Frequently Asked Questions
One of my Memberships that's Active in Join It isn't a part of the designated Group in emma - what could have happened?
Based on emma's help center description of their Audience Groups, one of the "facts about audience groups to remember" includes the reminder that "contacts can self-select their interest groups".
So when visiting a Membership record, if you see that the respective Membership has been synced to emma -- but they aren't part of the designated Group -- then it could be that they've opted out of that specific group through emma's manage preferences form.
